Blog Post 9 Pathos, Ethos, Logos

The add I chose was the Doritos ad from the super bowl. The ad is silly but still uses logos. It is logical in the sense that even though the commercial is silly, it is still persuading the viewer to buy the product. So, from a marketing standpoint the viewers' attention is grasped, and draws them to watch the commercial about Doritos. It shows emotion by the actor willing to fight or the Doritos against a UFO. This provokes that the chips are really good and worth fighting for. It also says "For The Bold" at the end which is a part of ethos portraying how bold people eat Doritos. The Pathos is also connecting people to Doritos and not wanting the man to lose his chips. The ethos is common ground that we would hold on to our chips and not want them to get abducted like in the commercial.
